"No place like it on earth"
This quaint little town on the shores of Strangford Lough is unique in many ways. Not content with the having the oldest inhabited castle in Ireland or being the birth place of Hans Sloan, of Sloan Square fame (founder of the British Museum and Kew Gardens), and home of Edward Hincks the minister famous for deciphering hieroglyphics, it has a group of people with famous names: James Bond, Gordon Bennett and Roy Rodgers live here, I kid you not! We even have a guy who was a GI with Elvis and appears in Rick Stein’s Cookery tour book! |
