The Irish Experience

"No place like it on earth"

This quaint little town on the shores of Strangford Lough is unique in many ways. Not content with the having the oldest inhabited castle in Ireland or being the birth place of Hans Sloan, of Sloan Square fame (founder of the British Museum and Kew Gardens), and home of Edward Hincks the minister famous for deciphering hieroglyphics, it has a group of people with famous names: James Bond, Gordon Bennett and Roy Rodgers live here, I kid you not! We even have a guy who was a GI with Elvis and appears in Rick Stein’s Cookery tour book!

As part of the programme we can arrange an "Irish Evening" which involves an Irish dinner, serenaded by local musicians playing typical Irish songs and to top the night off the Whiskey tasting, all Irish of course. Mix with the locals and discover the other side of life. An evening at the Dufferin is a night to remember!
